Everything you do is so perfect and so right
wanting to please the world everyday and night.
Little as you are you seem so grown and mature,
understanding situations that are hard to endure.
Interested in feelings of family and friends
you are much aware of beginnings and the ends.
Zooming in for candy, what a sweet tooth you have,
chocolates make you happy, onions make you sad.
Always so concerned for all the clothes you wear,
shoelaces must match with the ribbons in your hair.
Besides you must be dressed, appropriate for the occasion,
you get so concerned in every situation.
Endlessly you draw and paint so many pictures,
you love to hear the story of fantasy and scriptures.
Today you are a child that hopes to grow so fast,
your thoughts and dreams prepare you for future dares at last.
However I’ll be watching but you don’t need me there,
you know what you want from life, all you need is for me to care.
