I’m Thankful - A1* (Country Smooth)

I first thank my family who’s been there by my side, in good, bad and worse. For my parents who don’t hide. My dad gave me a space in his office to share, To just pass the time of pain and despair. Ben gave me a job and I’ll proove him right, I’m giving my soul to this work day and night. In their own single way each one shows they care, Some busy, some far, but all have been there.

I thank some good friends who don’t turn away, When all “hell turns loose” they show up and stay. They call me, invite me, and don’t leave me alone, Monitor my “well beeing”, by a call on the phone.

I thank those who left, to busy to care, I know now who’s real, the them who care. The “daring” do call, they know my life changed; Invitations start lacking, gets lonely and strange. Weekends are worse, “all” busy with life, But there is always that person who makes me feel nice. I thank my dear son, he’s grown up so fast, He had to live soon, reality at last. So hes living what comes, each day at a time, And making life easy, for his mom to feel fine.

I’m thankful for sadness, for troubles and pain, It all opens doors to a new life of “gain”. I just have so much to be thankful for, My life is a path I’ll repeat allways once more. No regrets, no failure, just life takes its course, If I live once more I’ll ride that same horse.

Thanksgiving here with you. I’m thankful. Then Christmas with family and my three kids once more. I’m thankful for all that life puts on my path, The good and the bad make me learn and grow and hopefully laugh.
